18 killed in Bellary road mishap

Eighteen people were killed and twelve others injured when a lorry carrying them collided with a Karnataka State Transport bus at Alur crossing in Bellary District on Friday morning.

Bellary (Karnataka), May 18 : Eighteen people were killed and twelve others injured when a lorry carrying them collided with a Karnataka State Transport bus at Alur crossing in Bellary District on Friday morning.

All 18 victims died on the spot. They were travelling in the lorry on their way back home after attending a marriage when the mishap occurred, police said.

The injured have been admitted to hospitals at Davangere and Chitradurga.
