Parliament Member Tahir Khan interrogated in illegal emigration case

The Crime Branch of the Delhi Police on Thursday interrogated Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP Mohammad Tahir Khan, in connection with the human trafficking case.

New Delhi, May 17 : The Crime Branch of the Delhi Police on Thursday interrogated Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP Mohammad Tahir Khan, in connection with the human trafficking case.

The Crime Branch had issued fresh notice to Khan to present himself after he failed to appear twice earlier. Police have also summoned Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ramswarup Koli for questioning.

Two other MPs - Ashok Kumar Rawat and Mitrasen Yadav, both of BSP - have already appeared before the Crime Branch. Their names figured during the investigations that followed BJP MP Babubhai Katara's arrest.

The names of these four MPs surfaced during the police interrogation of Sunder Lal Yadav, the alleged kingpin in the high profile case.

The interrogation of these MPs will be corroborated with their travel details furnished by the Foreign Residents Registration Office (FRRO).

The Crime Branch has so far arrested six people, including the suspended BJP, MP from Dahod, Babubhai Katara, who was arrested at the Delhi international airport last month while trying to take a woman and a teenaged boy to Canada on his wife's and son's passports.

A special team of the Crime Branch also arrested Katara's aide Rajendra Singh, who allegedly brokered deals on his behalf.
