Security forces today killed three militants, including a Hizbul Mujahideen ultra in two separate incidents in Doda and Reasi Districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
Srinagar, May 13 : Security forces today killed three militants, including a Hizbul Mujahideen ultra in two separate incidents in Doda and Reasi Districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
Acting on a tip off, security forces launched a search operation and cordoned off Lancha village in Reasi District, resulting in an exchange of fire between forces and militants, sources said.
Two militants were killed in the cross fire at Reasi and two AK-47 rifles recovered from the site of operation.
In Marwah village of Doda District almost the same thing happened, as a top Hizbul militant, identified as Mohmmad Amin Jehangir fired indiscriminately at security forces.
The militant was killed in the ensuing crossfire.
An AK-47 rifle, 54 rounds of bullet and a wireless set was recovered from the encounter site.
Jehangir was reportedly active in the state since 2001.
