Speaking at the Florence Nightingale Awards for Nursing Personnel today, Health And Family Welfare Minister, Dr. Anbumani Ramados said that under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) project, the country required about two lakh nursing personnel to provide comprehensive health care.
New Delhi, May 12 : Speaking at the Florence Nightingale Awards for Nursing Personnel today, Health And Family Welfare Minister, Dr. Anbumani Ramados said that under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) project, the country required about two lakh nursing personnel to provide comprehensive health care.
In order to achieve the requirements of NRHM, State Governments have been advised to enhance nursing staff by establishing additional nursing training institutions.
He praised the 17 awardees for their hard work, commitment and perseverance.
Minister of State for Health and family Welfare, Panabaka Lakshmi, and Health Secretary Naresh Dayal were also present on the occasion.
