Lucknow, May 11 : The counting of votes for 402 Assembly Constituencies in Uttar Pradesh is underway, amid tight security arrangements.
Around 20,000 Central Paramilitary and other security personnel have been on duty for guarding the Electronic Voting Machines.
All kind of precautionary measures have been made to avoid any kind of untoward incident, and to stop the entry of potential trouble-makers.
A close watch has also been kept on counting and election agents as well as candidates. An arrangement of extensive video coverage has been done for the first time at every stage of the counting process.
