The Bharatiya Janata Party today won the Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat from Himachal Pradesh, while the Congress won Shivpuri Assembly seat from Madhya Pradesh.
Shimla/Bhopal/Ranchi/Raipur/Imphal/Bangalore, June 5 : The Bharatiya Janata Party today won the Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat from Himachal Pradesh, while the Congress won Shivpuri Assembly seat from Madhya Pradesh.
Former Himachal Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal won the Hamirpur seat for the third time.
Congress nominee Virendra Raghuvansh won the Shivpuri Assembly seat from MP.
In Chhattisgarh, the ruling BJP won Khairagarh and Malkharoda assembly seats.
In Jharkhand, independent candidate Inder Singh Namdhari retained the Daltonganj Assembly seat.
The Congress party retained Ullal Assembly seat in Karnataka. It also won the Khangabok and Khundrakpam Assembly seats in Manipur.
Elections for all these seats were held on June 2.
