Acting upon the Madras High Court order, the Election Commission (EC) today asked the Returning Officer to file a case against former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha in connection to her filing of four nominations during the 2001 State Assembly polls.
New Delhi, June 26 : Acting upon the Madras High Court order, the Election Commission (EC) today asked the Returning Officer to file a case against former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha in connection to her filing of four nominations during the 2001 State Assembly polls.
The EC has also asked why the action against Jayalalitha was not taken in 2002.
