Union Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde today released Urjavaran, a bi-monthly magazine dedicated to energy conservation and environment preservation.
New Delhi, June 26 : Union Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde today released 'Urjavaran', a bi-monthly magazine dedicated to energy conservation and environment preservation.
After releasing the inaugural issue of the magazine, Shinde said that energy conservation issue is an enormous issue and every section of the society should join hands to supplement the government's efforts.
He pointed out that energy worth Rupees 80,000 crores can be saved if every individual understands the importance of conservation and acts upon it.
The magazine published by Urjavaran Foundation, a voluntary non-profit non-government organisation will have a special focus on 15 energy intensive industries, which are specified as notified designated consumers, under the Energy Conservation Act (ECA), 2001.
