New Delhi, 26 June : Urging Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil to intervene in the matter of defaming the profile of Prophet Mohammad, the All India Minorities Front led by its National President S M Asif today sought the immediate arrest of Google and Orkut officials.
Asif warned that if these officials were not arrested within 48 hours, the minority community would come on to the streets.
Addressing demonstrators at Jantar Mantar, Asif said there was a deep-rooted criminal conspiracy by Jews in insulting Prophet Mohammad and many Hindu Goddesses through words and cartoons.
Sanjoy Sachdev, the President, Delhi Unit of the National Panthers Party, said that insult of any religion is a heinous crime.
The government was directed to ask the web experts across the country to bar access to the offending sites for the sake of communal harmony.
