Srinagar, June 24 : Five militants were killed in a joint operation launched by army and State police in the Kupwara District on Sunday.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police, Kupwara, police received a specific information regarding presence of a freshly infiltrated group of militants in Keran sector of the District.
One personnel of the Indian Army has been injured in the encounter
The joint army and police team is conducting search operation in the area.
