Pune, June 23 : Eight labourers, including two women and a child, were killed when a wall of a building, which they were constructing, fell after heavy rains here today.
"We came out of the building because it was getting filled with rainwater. But as I came out I saw the wall behind me fell," said Anil Kadam, an eyewitness.
Police said they were investigating the matter.
"We have got samples of the compound wall. We have also contacted the corporation to know whether it was being constructed legally. We will do further investigations after that," Chandrashekhar Daithankar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, said.
