Non-veg Biryani, Mutton with Rice, Chicken Soup, Beef Rice, Mutton Soup...if all these names have tempted you to have them, please wait a minute, as these special dishes are not for you but dogs!
Bhopal, June 21 : Non-veg Biryani, Mutton with Rice, Chicken Soup, Beef Rice, Mutton Soup...if all these names have tempted you to have them, please wait a minute, as these special dishes are not for you but dogs!
They are being cooked at the Dog Tiffin Centre here. The tiffin centre has now launched a home delivery food service in Bhopal.
Owner of the catering centre, Prakash Verma, who also runs a mobile beauty parlour for dogs, says that the idea for starting a dog meal service occurred to him after watching the bizarre condition many 'pet dogs' live.
Verma says: "I saw in various houses that dogs are not properly taken care of or they are not getting proper nutrition. So I suggested the need for a Tiffin centre to the owners and they thought that it is a very good idea".
The tiffin service has also come as a major relief for many vegetarian dog owners who find it difficult to arrange a nutritious diet suitable for their pet dogs.
Saurabh Joshi said: "I belong to a Hindu Brahmin family, therefore, we cannot cook non-vegetarian food at our house. I heard about the services offered by Prakash Verma and placed a regular order with him for my dogs".
Many dog owners believe that non-vegetarian food is necessary d for the proper growth and health of the canines.
Dhruvdev Singh, another dog owner, said: "The home cooked vegetarian food which we used to feed to our dogs was not a balanced diet. But since the time the dogs are eating the meals brought by Prakash Verma they have become more energetic and active".
Everyday, Verma buys fresh meat from the market and prepares the food himself. It takes rupees 50 to rupees 200 per dog Tiffin.
