New Delhi, June 21 : The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy will celebrate 'Rajiv Gandhi Akshay Urja Diwas' on August 20 to mark the birth anniversary of late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
The national function will be organised at Hyderabad with an aim to spread the message of new and renewable energy technologies and systems throughout the country.
National Marathon (21 km) for men and women, 'Run for Run' for senior citizens and others, three-day Renewable Energy Exhibition and administering renewable energy pledge to 30,000 school children and other participants will be main events.
