In Mumbai, Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray has said his party would decide its stand on June 25.
Thackeray also said that he was disappointed at President A P Abdul Kalam's name making the rounds for a second term, as he was yet to give approval for the death sentence of Afzal Guru, convicted for the attack on Parliament in 2001.
"We will declare our candidate for Presidential polls on June 25. We see new names coming up everyday. I am upset at the candidature of President Kalam because of the delay he has caused in the Afzal Guru issue," Thackeray said while addressing reporters on the occasion of 41st anniversary of his party on Tuesday.
Sena's choice would prove crucial for its ally and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by BJP, which is backing Vice-President Bhairon Singhhekhawat.
Shekhawat will contest as an independent candidate.
