New Delhi, June 19 : The Income Tax department is conducting searches on a commodity exchange and its associates in Mumbai today.
Surveys are also being conducted on the branches of commodity exchange in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi and Kolkata.
"There is no search in the case of any share broker connected with a stock exchange per se", said a Finance Ministry release.
