Madurai, June 18 : Seven activists of Dalit Panthers of India (DPI) were killed when the van in which they were travelling collided head on with a lorry near Virudhunagar, about 55 km from here today.
Other two DPI activists travelling in the van were seriously injured in the incident that occurred at Pattamputhur village. They have been admitted to a government hospital in Madurai.
The activists were returning from a party conference at Tirunelveli.
