Tarn Taran (Punjab), June 16 : Thousands of Sikhs gathered at Darbar Sahib in Tarn Taran on Saturday to observe the 401st martyrdom day of Guru Arjan Dev, the fifth guru of the Sikhs.

"My father narrated me about the great sacrifice of Guru Arjun Dev Ji, so I along with my mother and family member reached here to pay respect to Guru Sahib" said a devotee Mahima Meet Kaur.

The anniversary, known as 'Guruparb,' is being observed across the country.
