New Delhi, June 16 : Ten Indians, abducted in Nigeria 16 days ago have been released, media reports said.
All ten Indians were working for a franchise of Indonesia-based Indorama firm.
Unidentified gunmen kidnapped the ten, including Indoarama's Manging Director Arun Taneja, after an attack on their residence in Rivers State on June 1.
The Indian High commission had taken up the issue with Nigerian authorities, but a director-level official of the Indorama conducted the negotiations with the kidnappers.
Due to a spurt in abduction, many Indian have been shifted to other secured locations.
The Ministry of External Affairs has taken up the issue with the Nigerian High Commission in New Delhi.
According to reports, two Indians and three foreign nationals working in the southern oil heartland of Nigeria were abducted last night.
Two Indian, five Americans, three Britons, a Filipino, a South African and a Nigerian abducted earlier were released on Monday in Bayelsa State.
