Amritsar June 16 : Four people were injured when bombs exploded in a garbage dump in the cantonment area here today.
Two of the injured are reported to be serious.
Army personnel first admitted the injured victims -Paramjit Singh, Ajit Singh, Baldev Singh and Uttam Chand- at Military Hospital (MH), but later they were shifted to the civil hospital for treatment.
"All the injured are our employees and they were injured, while doing their routine duties of cleaning the debris from the cantonment area," an army official said.
Few unexploded bombs were later recovered from the garbage dump.
