Union Minister for Human Resource Development Arjun Singh on Saturday said that the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) will soon be set up in Andhra Pradesh.
Hyderabad, June 16 : Union Minister for Human Resource Development Arjun Singh on Saturday said that the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) will soon be set up in Andhra Pradesh.
He said this after inaugurating the South Central regional centre of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) here.
At present three are six IIMs - Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore and Kozhikode.
Earlier, during his address Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy requested the Union Minister to sanction an IIM for the State.
The Centre had recently sanctioned Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) for the State to be set up in Medak District.
