Amritsar, June 15 : Sikh Diaspora has demanded the Pakistan Government to maintain transparency while using donations either for setting up the International Guru Nanak Dev University or for the up keeping of Sikh shrines located in that country.
They have also demanded that Pakistan must clear its own contribution before asking donations from them.
They said that the community has been contributing huge some of amount through donations to the Pakistan's Evacuee Trust Property Board (PETPB).
The Sikh Diaspora were of the view that after the Pakistan Government's announcement of renovation of the shrines, the Sikhs living around the world have been sending huge donation to Pakistan for up keeping of the Gurdwaras. According to sources, contrary to the reality, the Pakistan Government is taking credit for the work being done for the Sikh community.
