Gangster Ejaz Pathan, who was convicted in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case, died today reportedly due to AIDS.
Mumbai, June 15: Gangster Ejaz Pathan, who was convicted in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case, died today reportedly due to AIDS.
He died at the JJ Hospital, where he was taken today after he complained of uneasiness.
The real reason of his death is not yet confirmed.
Pathan was serving ten years jail term. He had been in jail for over four years.
Pathan, a close associate of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, was brought to Mumbai from Dubai in 2003.
A TADA court on June 7 sentenced Pathan to ten years rigorous imprisonment. He was convicted for providing his men to prime accused Tiger Memon for the landing of explosives, arms and ammunition before the blasts.
He had also been involved in various extortion and murder cases.
