The Government has merged the Ministry of Small Scale Industries and Ministry of Agro and Rural Industries.
New Delhi, June 14 : The Government has merged the Ministry of Small Scale Industries and Ministry of Agro and Rural Industries.
The merged Ministry will be known as Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
This was stated in a notification issued by the Union Cabinet Secretariat.
The name of the Office of Development Commissioner (Small Scale Industries) has also been changed to Office of the Development Commissioner (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises).
