Indore, July 6 : A vegetable vendor's seven-year-old son in Mau has become adept at hardware engineering. He is able to assemble a computer and mend complicated equipment.
Standard third student Mohammed Tajim Raeen is today an inspiration for many computer enthusiasts here. His knowledge of computers has been acquired without any formal training.
The young boy has also learnt many software packages. Tajim says that he developed interest in computers while watching the film Richi Rich.
Mohammed Tajim Raeen said: "Richi Rich showed a lot of things about computers. I saw the film two to three times. Then onwards I started accompanying my uncle who assembled computers. And, I learnt to assemble the computers myself."
Tajim dreams of becoming a software engineer. He has set his mind on learning C++ and Java software. As of now he is well versed with software like 3-D Home (used for designing homes), Insert Artist, Power Point and MS Excel.
Tajim says: "I want to be a Software Engineer. I will learn C++ and Java. My dream is to create softwares better than Vista (made by Microsoft)." e works on the computer every day for at least one hour.
Tajim is presently staying with his maternal grandparents in Mau while his parents are vegetable vendors in Barhanpur.
A year back his grandfather bought him a computer on which he practices every day.
Tajim's maternal grandpa, Mohammed Iqbal Raeen, said: "Tajim has learnt everything at home. None of us in our family had ever seen a computer. We take pride in the fact that despite being the son of a vegetable vendor, he can assemble a computer within an hour."
Tajim's project work has received appreciation from the State Government. At the award ceremony, when the projector went wrong, he repaired it. Chief Minister Babu Lal Gaur, the chief guest, complimented Tajim for his work.
