Pak Government denies rocket attack on Musharraf

The Government of Pakistan has denied that an attempt was made on the life of President Pervez Musharraf while he was flying out to Balochistan from Rawalpindi.

New Delhi, July 6 : The Government of Pakistan has denied that an attempt was made on the life of President Pervez Musharraf while he was flying out to Balochistan from Rawalpindi.

According to a Star News report, a rocket was fired on President Musharraf's plane when it was flying above Rawalpindi and the President survived the attack narrowly.

Islamic fundamentalists had reportedly threatened President Musharraf with suicide bombings after he ordered a crack down on the Lal Masjid in Islamabad.

If confirmed, this would be yet another failed attempt on the life of President Musharraf.

Till now there has been four unsuccessful attempts on his life. He was first attacked in 2003, but somehow he survived the bomb attack on his car.
