Raga to Rock Records has released 'Vinati' a soul striking spiritual experience by Tarana. Tarana has already made her mark in the industry with 'Kaise Kahoon' which was her debut album as a singer.
Not only did Kaise Kahoon establish Tarana as a singer with an unusual voice in the Pop genre, but also won critical acclaim when it got nominated in the 2004 Sahara Sangeet Awards held at The Royal Albert Hall, London. This is truly a rare honour for a new comer and definitely speaks volumes about the singer!
At the time of the release of 'Kaise Kahoon', Tarana had expressed a dream to be known as a versatile singer some day, who can sing all genres of music such as pop music, ghazals, bhajans and other forms of music with equal prowess. With 'Vinati', Tarana is on her way to realizing that dream. Her next step is to sing as a playback singer for films and it wil only be matter of time before the film and television fraternity takes notice of Tarana.
Tarana is a trained vocalist who has been under the able guidance and tutelage of her gurus-the Singh Brothers, Shyam, Pradeep & Pratap Singh over the past six years.Vinati's music has been composed by the Singh Brothers who have done an excellent job of providing the most sombre melodies to each of the nine tracks. The arrangements have been rendered by Bhavdeep Jaipurwale and the lyrics by Pandit Kiran Mishra. All of them together have made 'Vinati' a truly spiritual experience!
Vinati features nine songs. Each song is a poetry in motion, the credit of which not only goes to Tarana for her exquisite rendition but also to the Singh Brothers. The haunting melodies were infused with life by the beautiful lyrics penned by Pandit Kiran Mishra and the music was arranged by Bhavdeep Jaipurwale. The price of cassettes & CD's are Rs 75/- & Rs 150/- respectively.
Besides having a talented & gifted voice, Tarana has many hidden talents. She is an artist, a dancer & an interior designer, she also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. She has learnt Bharat Natyam under the tutelage of Guru Raj Laxmi Nair for a decade. As an artist she has beautifully pictured several canvases with strokes of oil paint and water colors.
Tarana has grown up listening to various forms of music and some of her favourite artists are Asha Bhosle, Jagjit Singh, Celine Dion and Shubha Mudgal.
