Lucknow, July 31 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati today said her party will not join the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) or the Union Cabinet.
Commenting on media reports that suggested that her party may join the UPA, Mayawati said, " I vehemently condemn these reports."
"It is true that to keep communal forces away from power, our party has extended support to the UPA, but we don't have any interest in becoming an ally of it," Mayawati said.
She went on to say that these reports are not only distracting, but also false and devoid of fact.
Mayawati urged the media not to publish such reports.
