NDTV Labs Ltd Announces New COO Appointment

NDTV today announced the appointment of Saurabh Malhotra to head new business areas as the COO of NDTV Labs Ltd, the software and technology company.

In his new role as COO of NDTV Labs Ltd. Saurabh will be responsible for the success of the company and will steer new business initiatives comprising infrastructure outsourcing, systems integration in the broadcast space, software/technology development and the RetailTV markets, all of which will be run as separate business verticals. Saurabh will report to the CEO of NDTV Labs Ltd. and to the Board of Directors of NDTV Labs Ltd.

Saurabh comes with 18 years of diverse experience in sales, marketing and general management and in setting up new businesses in the IT and OA environments. This has equipped him with cross-domain knowledge and relationships which will enable penetration in global markets for cutting edge media technology products and services developed by NDTV Labs.

In his last responsibility as Director Sales & Marketing, Barco, Saurabh has experience in leading the growth initiatives of Barco Electronic Systems Pvt. Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Belgian company Barco N.V. in India & neighbouring countries. For ten years in that capacity, Saurabh played a significant role in incubating as well as maturing some of their business units in India. Saurabh comes with solid inter-cultural working experiences as well as strong industry contacts. Prior to working at Barco, Saurabh has held various positions with HCL Ltd, Network Ltd and DCM Data Products Ltd.

Saurabh holds a graduate degree from Calcutta University and has acquired an Executive MBA in International Business from the International Management Institute, New Delhi in association with McGill University Montreal, IMD Laussane, and University of Rhode Island, Kingston.
