The Election Commission (EC) has deputed six teams of two officials each to check various aspects of electoral rolls in Gujarat, where Assembly polls will be held later this year.
New Delhi, July 30 : The Election Commission (EC) has deputed six teams of two officials each to check various aspects of electoral rolls in Gujarat, where Assembly polls will be held later this year.
According to the Commission, the teams will visit all 25 districts of the state from today, and will be there till August 6.
They will also meet district officials and civil society organisations during their eight-day stay.
The final electoral roll for all 182 Assembly constituencies of Gujarat has been published, with a total of 36,470,548 electors.
