Jammu, July 30 : Three Amaranth piligrims died at different places on their way to the holy cave shrine of Amarnath today.
According to officials, Kamal Dass (75) and Narayan Bhai (65) died of heart attacks, while another piligrim Premi Devi (58) died near Baltal.
The bodies have been handed over to their families for last rites, they said.
Every year, lakhs of pilgrim's trek along a treacherous mountain track to the Amarnath shrine, located at an altitude of 3,800 metres.
The Amarnath Cave is about 12,500 feet above sea level and 141 kilometres from Srinagar.
Amarnath pilgrimage will continue till August end.
