Offers authentic Malaysian cuisine with a fine casual dining experience
Hyderabad : Awana, a new modern Malaysian restaurant chain from London, now enters India through Hyderabad and is all set to capture the hearts of the Hyderabadi's with its authentic Malaysian cuisine. Coinciding with Visit Malaysia Year 2007, awana promises to be a (cuisine) culture ambassador by offering a fine casual dining environment where lovers of Malaysian food and culture in Hyderabad can enjoy authentic Malaysian cuisine, as well as explore Malaysia through the kitchen.
"awana's journey to promote authentic Malaysian cuisine in India starts from the city of Pearls, Hyderabad, a historical city and a modern metropolis. Awana at Hyderabad follows the atmosphere awana Beijing and awana London has created, whereby guests are able to enjoy a variety of awana -produced cocktails at the bar." said Mr.Eddie Lim, Managing Director, awana.
Malaysian food is rooted in its multi-ethnic population of Malay, Indian, Eurasian, Chinese, Nyonya and the indigenous peoples of Borneo. It is stronger in taste compared to the cuisines of other south-east Asian countries. The menu at awana features traditional Malaysian dishes mixed with modern interpretations of Malaysian favorite ingredients, comprising a large selection of curries, soups, grills, and stir-fries, with a good range of dishes for vegetarians. While most ingredients are imported from Malaysia, the chefs will also incorporate into their menus the very best seasonal meat, game and vegetables, by their natural flair with the wok and priceless ability to understand the numerous cultures that have influenced Malaysian cuisine.
At awana , lovely waiters adorn uniforms with Malaysian belts using hand-woven gold thread, specially designed by Bernard Chandran, the creator of Indian Nehru collar shirts, which symbolizes the diverse cultural background of Malaysia.
Malaysia is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. The party will bring together both old and new friends, so come and join us along with your friends. More surprise offerings will be coming your way!
