The Central Reserve Police Force today foiled a suicide attack on one of its camp at Zakura in Jammu and Kashmir in which two militants were shot dead, a police official said.
Zakura (J-K), July 26 : The Central Reserve Police Force today foiled a suicide attack on one of its camp at Zakura in Jammu and Kashmir in which two militants were shot dead, a police official said.
"About two to three officers did get injured when the initial grenade struck, but others recovered quickly and shot dead two militants who had come here to attack the camp," Inspector General of Jammu and Kashmir Police S M Sahai said.
Injured have been admitted in a nearby hospital, a police official said.
So far, no militant group has taken responsibility, but Sahai, blamed the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba for the "failed suicide attack".
Yesterday, two militants, a policeman and a teenage boy were killed in Baramulla District.
