Hyderabad, July 24 : Police here have launched a massive search operation to trace Satyam Computers General Manager Vedula Satyanarayana, who was reportedly abducted today morning in front of Geetanjali Public School located on a busy road in Secunderabad.
Gopalpuram Assistant Commissioner of Police said that between 9.45 and 10 am he had received a complaint from Satyanarayana's wife Kiranmayi that her husband was abducted.
Police said that the incident occurred when forty-year-old Satyanarayana had gone to drop his two children at their school (Geetanjali Public School) at Secunderabad.
Satyanarayana crossed the road along with his children while his car was parked on the other side of the road. After sometime when he did not return, the driver called up his wife to inquire about him, informing her that Satyanarayana did not return after dropping the kids, police said.
Kiranmayi immediately called Satyanarayana on his cell phone to which he responded saying, that he was fine and busy in an urgent meeting. On enquiring with his office it was found that he had not reached the office, the ACP said.
However, Kiranmayee got worried when Satyanarayana stopped responding to her calls on the cell phone. After which, she lodged a complaint with Gopalpuram police.
Police are investigating the case but so far they have not made any breakthrough.
