New Delhi, July 13 : Leaving no stone unturned to make sure that cross voting does not take place in the July 19 presidential polls, the Congress party has reportedly decided to hold its MLAs captive in their respective state capitals till the time of voting.
According to politicsparty.com, intelligence agencies have estimated that the total cross voting will be of the magnitude of about two lakh votes away from the Congress-UPA-BSP-Shiv Sena camp.
It further says that Congress president Sonia Gandhi has a complete list of those who are likely to cross vote.
Considering this and to prevent any cash allurement to Congress MLAs by the Shekhawat camp, her "strategists" have decided to hold all MLAs captive in hotels or resorts in each of the state capitals "from July 17 until voting time on July 19."
