Cambodian PM accorded ceremonial reception at Rashtrapati Bhawan

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen was accorded a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhawan here today.

New Delhi, December 8 : Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen was accorded a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhawan here today.

Sen was received at the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhawan by his Indian counterpart Dr. Manmohan Singh.

"I hope that through this visit the partnership between Cambodia and India would be strengthened,' Sen said.

Later in the day, Sen is slated to meet Dr. Singh and both countries are expected to sign various agreements aimed at boosting bilateral cooperation in the field of defence, water resources, agriculture, petroleum and commerce.

Sen will also call on President Pratibha Patil and Vice President Hamid Ansari. He will also meet External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee.

He will address a business luncheon meeting jointly organized by the CII, FICCI and ASSOCHAM.

Sen is leading a delegation, including the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, Minister of Commerce, Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology and the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

During his stay in India, the visiting Prime Minister will visit Hyderabad, where he will go to the National Institute of Rural Development and the Hitech City. He will call on the Governor of Andhra Pradesh on December 9.

Sen arrived here on Friday on a four-day visit to take forward the bilateral relations with India.
