Patriotic fervour keeping security personnel warm in J-K cold wave

With the temperature dipping below normal in the state, its only the patriotic fervour for their country that is keeping security forces charged.

Srinagar, Dec 7 : With the temperature dipping below normal in the state, it's only the patriotic fervour for their country that is keeping security forces charged.

"We have very strong feelings for our country. Hence we can endure anything to protect the nation that we love intensely," said A K Mishra, Central Reserve Police Force personnel.

Mohd Gyasudin, another Central Reserve Police Force personnel reveals, "We certainly find it challenging to perform our duties in this extreme climate. However, the government has provided us with warm gear. And as government servants, we are obliged to perform our duties, no matter what."

Nevertheless, the hard works of these self-sacrificing security personnel are not overlooked.

Commending their dedication, N P Nathaniel, Deputy Inspector General, Central Reserve Police Force, said, "When the security forces are on operation mode, they don't care about the harsh weather. Once they are deployed for operations, their complete focus is on their duty."

Recently, the minimum temperature in the valley was minus 4.8 degree Celsius. The meteorological department predicts a further dip in temperature in the days ahead.
