New Delhi, Dec 6 : Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will inaugurate the Second East Asia Gender Equality Ministerial meeting here today.
Renuka Chowdhury, Minister of Women and Child Development will preside over the two-day meet.
The delegates from sixteen countries and various international organisations will deliberate upon regional co-operation for empowerment of women.
Issues including women's participation in decision making, violence against women and home based workers will be discussed during the meeting.
The meeting will also adopt a Delhi Declaration.
