On his first visit to New Delhi after being sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for a third time, Narendra Modi today discussed the formation of the State Cabinet with central BJP leaders.
New Delhi, Dec 29 : On his first visit to New Delhi after being sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for a third time, Narendra Modi today discussed the formation of the State Cabinet with central BJP leaders.
Earlier today, Modi was given a grand reception on his arrival at the airport by the BJP's Delhi Unit.
He then moved to senior party leader, L K Advani's residence, where he discussed his ministry's formation.
"I discussed Cabinet formation in Gujarat," Modi told reporters after the meeting.
Party General Secretary and in-charge of the Gujarat election Arun Jaitley, party President Rajnath Singh and other leaders, including Jaswant Singh and Sushma Swaraj were also present at Advani's house.
After the meeting at Advani's residence, Modi called on former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee to seek his blessings.
"This is the first time that I have come to meet Atal Behari Vajpayee after winning elections in Gujarat. I am also happy that our party (the BJP) has won the Himachal elections too," Modi said.
Modi was sworn-in as the Gujarat Chief Minister on December 25.
