Pond's Institute Organizes a High-End Anti-Aging Plenary Workshop for Leading Dermatologists

Pond's Institute conducted a plenary workshop for leading dermatologists from all across India under the aegis of Pond's scientists Dr David Horne, Dr Mike Cheney, Dr Pushker Sona and Dr Stacey Hawkins.

On the agenda was a detailed presentation on the latest developments in anti-aging skincare. Global Face Care Director, Dr Pushker Sona set the tone of the packed workshop, detailing the special care taken by Pond's Institute to focus on Asian skin and narrowing the focus to South Asian skin as well. Anti-aging has become big business around the world and increasingly South Asian women are waking up to the importance of skincare on a sustained basis.

Leading international dermatologist, Dr Horne focussed on new technologies with special mention of the efficacy of CLA or Conjugated Linoleic Acid, the revolutionary anti-aging bio active molecule developed in Pond's Institute laboratories. Dr Horne also mentioned his speech at the CSI session which touched upon avant garde anti-aging technology of which CLA is a leading discovery. This was attended by dermats from all over India.

Dr Stacey Hawkins, from the Unilever Technical expert Group and is a senior Research scientist, touched upon key insights on Asian skin as well as shared studies on consumer insights. Indian women for example, are keen to have fair and glowing skin that reveals health and care. Women from other parts of Asia believe that white skin is beautiful.

Dr Mike Cheney, Director, R & D, of the Unilever Technical Expert Group focused on anti aging technology with special mention on CLA. He also explained in great detail the proof of CLA's supremacy in skincare benefits scale while revealing in-vitro results.

The talks were followed by an interactive session between attending doctors and visiting scientists.
