Chopper carrying Congress leader breaches PMs security

A security breach in Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singhs security took place on Monday afternoon when a private helicopter carrying Congress leader R K Dhawan entered the restricted air space around the Prime Ministers convoy.

Shimla, Dec 17: A security breach in Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh's security took place on Monday afternoon when a private helicopter carrying Congress leader R K Dhawan entered the restricted air space around the Prime Minister's convoy.

The incident took place in the afternoon when the private helicopter belonging to Deccan Aviation entered the restricted air space.

Two pilots of the chopper, MS Sehgal and Kuldeep Mehta were detained soon after they landed and were questioned by SPG, Intelligence Bureau and State police officers.

The pilots were booked under Section 336 of the IPC for the violation of air safety rules and endangering Prime Minister's security.

They were later released on bail.
