In a major blow to the security system in Chhattisgarh, the Naxalites today attacked a jail in Dantewada and freed 303 inmates of which 40 were Maoist leaders.
Raipur, Dec 16 : In a major blow to the security system in Chhattisgarh, the Naxalites today attacked a jail in Dantewada and freed 303 inmates of which 40 were Maoist leaders.
There were 377 inmates in the jail.
They also looted over a dozen guns and huge cache of ammunitions.
State Home Minister Ramvichar Netam reportedly admitted that the incident took place due to laxity in security system.
