A leading participant in the global economy, India's Information Communication and Technology industry is describing a heightened parabola of growth. In the midst of such strategic activities in the ICT industry in India, Frost & Sullivan, for the sixth consecutive year, hosted the India ICT Awards, which endeavored to recognize players that are contributing and in the future, would drive the growth of ICT industry through their market leadership, competitive strategies and innovation. This year's edition of 'Frost & Sullivan's India ICT Awards' took place on 14th December, 2007, 6:00 p.m. onwards, at JW Marriott, Mumbai.
Award recipients for each category were chosen based on detailed research and rigorous analysis by the analyst team tracking various ICT markets on a regular basis. The team monitored competitor revenue, market share, growth over the last year, market and technology innovation, go-to-market strategy and other important developments within the industry, if any. For this, in-depth interviews with all market participants and extensive secondary research of proprietary data sources were conducted. The research process included data collection according to the pre-determined measurement criteria and, finally, competitors were compared and ranked for relative positions. Frost & Sullivan then short-listed the companies that exhibited leadership in terms of market share, growth/competitive strategies, innovation or those have done things differently for the advancement of the industry.
