Gurgaon (Haryana), Dec 12: Aakash and Vikas, students of class eight, who shot dead one of their classmates Abhishek Tyagi on Tuesday, have been sent to 14-day judicial custody at Faridabad Juvenile Home.

Gurgaon DCP Satish Balan said the parents of the two children remain untraceable, adding that the shooting seems to have been well planned. However, police has filed a case against the father of Akash, Azad Yadav.

Aakash and Vikas, both sons of property dealers, had an old grudge with the victim. The two fired four to five rounds of ammunitions at the victim at close range.

"While walking in the school corridor after the classes, Abhishek was accosted by his two classmates. Aakash then pulled out his father's licensed revolver and allegedly shot Abhishek four times. He then handed the gun to his friend, Vikas who fired another bullet. Of the five bullets fired, four struck Abhishek," said Gurgaon Police Commissioner, Mohinder Lal.

Aakash had clandestinely brought the revolver to the school and hid it in the toilet and brought it out after classes.

Lal said that Aakash had secretly brought the revolver to the Euro International School is located in the South City area of Gurgaon.
