Police said they baton-charged protestors while they were demanding State relief.
The situation turned ugly when police stopped over 300 migrants midway and ordered them to return.
Nearly 50 protestors and 20 policemen were hurt in the clashes.
Between 1996 and 1998, nearly 11,000 people migrated from their homes in Doda, Udhampur, Mahore, Rajori and Poonch areas of Jammu due to militant threat. They took shelter in various relief camps, including in Talwara and Reasi.
