Chattarpur (Madhya Pradesh), Aug.7 : A hermit at a temple in Madhya Pradesh's Chattarpur District shares an unusual bond with birds and animals
Be it crows, dogs, cats or monkeys, they eat together at the "Phula Devi Ashram", where Manoj Bharati alias Manoj Baba takes care of them.
For visitors, it is a joyful sight watching the yellow clad Manoj Baba engaging the fauna.
The crow is particularly special, as it takes its daily morsel only from Manoj's mouth. Generally seen as a bad omen, the crow attends the daily sessions of prayer at the temple.
Manoj describes this special bond with the crow and other animals as something developed over the years. He claims he has been there when they needed him the most.
"Whenever some animal falls ill or gets injured, I take care of them and so the bonding develops," he says.
The Baba provides feeds his animal friends on time, and they in turn feel safe and secure in his company.
