The All India Minorities Front (AIMF) today warned Al Qaida and its sister concerns like Lasher-e-Taiba (LeT), Hizbul Mujahiddin (HM) and others against targeting innocent people.
New Delhi, Aug 7 : The All India Minorities Front (AIMF) today warned Al Qaida and its sister concerns like Lasher-e-Taiba (LeT), Hizbul Mujahiddin (HM) and others against targeting innocent people.
Reacting on the latest statements of Al Qaida threatening to target Tel Aviv, Moscow and New Delhi, AIMF National Chairman S M Asif said: "The (Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence) ISI sponsored aims of such inhuman outfits would not be tolerated and the people especially the members of the minority communities of India would ensure that such attempts are defeated."
Asif claimed that the AIMF has been cautioning the government against Al Qaida since 1999, but the government agencies have not taken the issue seriously.
"Now that the US and other agencies have categorically warned India of joint militant activities by such outfits, the governmental agencies have started working on it after loosing eight precious years, otherwise the nexus between the Al Qaida, ISI, Let, HM and such militant outfits could have been broken long back," he said.
He said the members of minority groups, especially the Muslims, would not allow such nefarious designs of these outfits to destroy communal harmony and peace of the country. "They will not hesitate from coming to the streets against them and even fighting them back in a tit for tat way," he added.
Asif said it is the time for the world to rise against terrorists, who are defaming Islam by terming their acts as Islamic Jihad.
Islam never taught killing of innocents. It rather taught diplomacy, but such elements are bringing a bad name to Islam, he said.
