Nawaz likely to charter plane from Dubai for Islamabad

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who has announced plans to return home along with his family members on September 10, is likely to arrive at Islamabad International Airport on a chartered plane.

Rawalpindi, Aug 31 : Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who has announced plans to return home along with his family members on September 10, is likely to arrive at Islamabad International Airport on a chartered plane.

PML (N) sources have said that the Sharifs would take a plane to Dubai from London, and then charter a plane to Pakistan.Islamabad airport authorities, however, said that they have no special instructions.

The flight schedule inquiry said that only PIA flight PK-786 is scheduled to arrive from London on September 10 at Islamabad International Airport at 8.05 a.m., The Nation reported.

Officials at flight inquiry confirmed that so far no one from the Sharif family had reserved a seat on the said flight.

Sources were quoted as saying that the route to be adopted by the PML (N) chief would not be very different from the route adopted by Shahbaz Sahrif in 2004, when he was bundled out to Saudi Arabia on his arrival at Lahore Airport.

Sharif's entourage is likely to include a number of mediapersons, especially from the electronic medium.

From Islamabad airport, Sharif would use the GT Road for Lahore, sources added.
