The Khalsa Action Committee today honoured the mother and father of Dilawar Singh, the assasin of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh.Parents of Dilawar Singh --Harnek Singh and Surjit Kaur-- were honoured with gold medals. An ardas was performed for Jagtar Singh Hawara and Bhai Balwant Singh, both of whom are currently on death row in connection with the same case. The committee also passed a resolution eulogising the sacrifice of Dilawar Singh and reiterated its objective of achieving a Khalsa nation.

A second resolution that was passed, urged the Government of Punjab to provide financial support to the families of those affected by what it called "state terrorism".
