Seven people were injured here at a spot near the highly guarded State Secretariat when an unidentified man opened fire during a labour leaders celebrations.
Bhopal, Aug 30 : Seven people were injured here at a spot near the highly guarded State Secretariat when an unidentified man opened fire during a labour leader's celebrations.
"They were two groups. One group was celebrating a stay order from the court and were burning firecrackers. Then a gunman and an employee started firing and some of the people were shot at," Dilip Lomar, a police officer said.
Police have arrested the labour leader L.H. Kalishya, and have launched a search for the gunman.
The injured, who included two band members, have been admitted to hospital.
"I had gone there to play in the band. While playing I didn't know from where and how the bullets were fired. It struck me on my hand," said an injured band member.
