President Pratibha Patil today condoled the demise of former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ramrao Wamanrao Adik, who died today in Mumbai following a brief illness.

New Delhi, Aug 30 : President Pratibha Patil today condoled the demise of former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ramrao Wamanrao Adik, who died today in Mumbai following a brief illness.

In a condolence message to his brother Govindrao Adik, the President said, "I am saddened to learn about the passing away of Shri Ramrao Wamanrao Adik."

"Shri Ramrao Adik was closely associated with various social and educational institutions and held important positions in the State Government including those of Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra in his long public career," she added.
